About Packing

Johnson: I suppose packing will be done strictly in accordance with the contract stipulation.

William: Yes, strictly is the word for it.

Johnson: Now, about marking. Are you using indelible paint?

William: We have received instructions from Mr. Brown on marking. Water-repellent indelible paint is to be used.

Johnson: Fine. And as the parcel is to be transshipped at Hong Kong, we must be assured that the boxes are strong enough to stand all the handling.

William: That has been taken into account. The boxes to be used are strong and waterproof. They are seaworthy and can stand rough handling on the wharves.

Johnson: Another question, William. It's about labeling. We require three languages on the labels, English, French and Chinese.

William: We'll see to it that the three languages are used on the labels. Any other requirements?

Johnson: Yes, one more thing. “Keep dry” should be marked on the boxes.

William: All right. All that you have just suggested will be included in the contract.
