5.3　Pressure Casings

5.3.1　The pressure casings shall conform to clause 5.3 in ISO 13709-2003(API Std 610-2004).

5.3.2　Metric threads(ISO/M Units)should be used for general purpose bolts(fasteners).Threads of U.S.Customary Units(UN/UNR Units),if used,shall be approved by the purchaser.

5.3.3　Centerline support is preferred for pump with axially split casing for which the suction nozzle and/or discharge nozzle are(is)arranged at side.

5.3.4　Pumps,which will operate at temperature above 0℃,shall be designed on the basis of the anticipated maximum working temperature or the rated working temperature plus 10℃,whichever is higher;pumps,which will operate at temperature of 0℃and below,shall be designed on the basis of the minimum working temperature.
