The Case Studies on Good Practices of Conserving Biodiversity in ASEAN and China was developed as part of the project “China-ASEAN Cooperation Plan on Biodiversity and Ecological Conservation-Phase I” under the auspices of the China-ASEAN Cooperation Fund. The project aims to assist the governments of the ASEAN Member States （AMS） and China to build their capacities on biodiversity and ecological conservation through experience sharing and capacity building，public awareness and education，policy studies and research.

This publication on biodiversity conservation is the outcome of a collaborative effort between the China-ASEAN Environmental Cooperation Center （CAEC） and the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity （ACB）. It was prepared under the guidance of Mr. Tang Dingding，Director General of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China （MEP），the supervision of Mr. Guo Jing，Acting Director General and Ms. Zhou Guomei，Deputy Director General of CAEC，by a team led by Mr. Peng Bin，Division Director of CAEC，and consisting of Ms. Wang Yuyi，Project Officer of CAEC，Ms. Monina T. Uriarte，Capacity Development Specialist of the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity （ACB），Mr. Tan Liang，Director of Guangxi Research Institute of Environmental Protection，Mr. Zhou Bo，Division Director of Yunnan Department of Environmental Protection.
