Restricting access to workbook contents

In addition to using the File | Info | Protect Workbook method to restrict the editing of workbooks, we can use the Review ribbon. We will use this option to protect different parts of a worksheet from editing.

If you are working with others on the same workbook, you may want to consider removing editing rights to parts of the workbook, especially to protect complicated formulae or functions.

Follow the instructions described in the next section to protect a certain part of the workbook from any unwanted editing.
