Conventions used

There are a number of text conventions used throughout this book.

CodeInText: Indicates code words in text, database table names, folder names, filenames, file extensions, pathnames, dummy URLs, user input, and Twitter handles. Here is an example: "If you are on the Linux platform, you will download this file: qt-unified-linux-x64-3.0.5-online.run."

A block of code is set as follows:

"compilation": {
"backend": {
"class": "populus.compilation.backends.VyperBackend"
},
"contract_source_dirs": [
"./contracts"
],
"import_remappings": []
},

Any command-line input or output is written as follows:

$ python3.6 -m venv qt-venv
$ source qt-venv/bin/activate
(qt-venv) $ pip install PySide2

Bold: Indicates a new term, an important word, or words that you see on screen. For example, words in menus or dialog boxes appear in the text like this. Here is an example: "Click Next. You will then be greeted with a login screen."
