4　Ground Construction

4.1　General Requirements

4.1.1　The plan positions and elevations of foundation shall be surveyed and rechecked before construction.

4.1.2　The ponded water shall be timely drained during ground construction and the construction shall not be under submerging conditions.

4.1.3　Where the foundation base elevations are different，the construction should proceed in the order of from deep to shallow.

4.1.4　Protective measures shall be taken to reduce disturbance of the soils below foundation base during construction；the 200mm-300mm thick soil layer above foundation base shall be excavated manually.

4.1.5　The influence of excavation，filling，vibration and soil displacement on slope stability and surrounding environment shall be analyzed during ground construction.

4.1.6　During inspection of foundation subsoils，if geological conditions are found inconsistent with those in the investigation report，an additional investigation shall be conducted.

4.1.7　Upon completion of ground construction，the foundation subgrade shall be protected and the foundation construction shall proceed shortly.
